Robertsville State Park Campground

Robertsville State Park Campground sits where the Meramec River forms the northern and western boundaries of the park, with Calvey Creek along the eastern edge. The quiet, family-friendly campground is surrounded by hardwood forests of oak, hickory, sycamore, maple, and cottonwood, with scenic river bluffs nearby. The park has historical roots dating to 1831 when Edward James Roberts settled in Franklin County, and later became a popular resort destination for St. Louis visitors. The campground offers 29 reservable sites: 13 with electric hookups (30 amp), 12 basic sites, three basic sites with wooden platforms for extra space, and one family campsite. Every site includes a fire ring, picnic table, pedestal grill, and lantern post. A modern showerhouse provides flush toilets and hot showers from April 1 through October 31. Off-season visitors can use restrooms near campsite 27. Water hydrants are distributed throughout, and a sanitary dump station is available. Firewood can be purchased from the campground host. The Meramec River provides excellent fishing and canoeing opportunities, with a boat launch and trailer parking on site. The Spice Bush Trail winds through hardwood forest for hiking. Two reservable picnic shelters accommodate groups up to 75 people each. Wildlife viewing includes great blue herons, green herons, ducks, bluebirds, and barred owls.
