Meramec State Park Campground

Meramec State Park Campground sits along the Meramec River in the Missouri Ozarks, surrounded by forested bluffs and over 13 miles of hiking trails. The campground is divided into three main sections plus group tent areas. Section 1 offers electric and electric/water sites with access to vault toilets, showers, and a playground. Section 2 provides the widest variety including basic sites, electric sites, and full-hookup sites with sewer/electric/water. Section 3 features the most amenities including the camp store, dining at Fireside Store and Grill, laundry facility, and dump station. All individual campsites include a parking pad, picnic table, grill, and lantern post. Sites with utilities offer 30-amp or 50-amp electric service. Water hookups are seasonal, typically operating April through October when freeze risk is minimal. The campground provides easy access to Fisher Cave tours, river floating, fishing, and swimming. Backcountry camping is also available at eight designated sites along the Wilderness Trail for those seeking a more primitive experience. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance through the Missouri State Parks reservation system online or by calling 877-ICampMO. Walk-up registration is accepted for unreserved sites. Camping is limited to 15 days within any 30-consecutive-day period.
