About

Located in Jefferson County near Cedar Hill, Don Robinson State Park's special-use camping area provides a primitive group camping experience in Missouri's scenic sandstone landscape. The park sits in the upper watershed of LaBarque Creek and features dramatic geological formations including sandstone box canyons, natural shelter caves, towering cliffs, and both upland and bottomland forests. The special-use camping area accommodates groups of up to 30 people with a maximum of 12 vehicles. Facilities include four tent platforms, six picnic tables, seven lantern posts, and one centralized fire ring. A vault toilet is on-site, but campers must bring their own water as none is available. The area is gated with a combination lock; groups receive the code upon reservation. Priority scheduling is given to nonprofit organizations and youth groups. Reservations must be made by calling the park directly. Standard Missouri State Parks group camp regulations apply, including no pets allowed (service animals welcome), fires only in designated areas with facility manager approval, and a 100% smoke-free policy throughout the facility.
