About

Riverview Campground is one of three family campgrounds at St. Croix State Park, Minnesota's largest state park encompassing over 34,000 acres of forests, prairies, wetlands, and river shoreline. The campground contains roughly 90% of the park's electric sites (42 total) along with non-electric options, all featuring fire rings with grills and picnic tables. Modern restroom and shower buildings serve the campground from May through October, with vault toilets available throughout the loops. The campground sits near the historic St. Croix Lodge, a Civilian Conservation Corps structure from 1935 that houses a picnic shelter, year-round restrooms, and an interpretive center featuring log and stone architecture with views of the St. Croix River. Within walking distance, campers can access the camp store, ranger station, and paved bike trail. Six one-room cabins built in the early 1940s by the Veterans' Conservation Corps are also located within Riverview, offering an alternative to tent or RV camping. The park provides access to extensive trail systems including hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, plus opportunities for canoeing and kayaking on the St. Croix River. The park's diverse ecosystems support wildlife viewing and nature photography throughout the camping season.
