About

Paint Rock Springs Campground is part of Saint Croix State Park's expansive camping facilities, which include over 200 sites spread across three campground areas: Paint Rock Springs, Riverview, and Old Logging Trail. The park spans more than 34,000 acres in Pine County, making it Minnesota's largest state park. The landscape features two significant rivers: the Saint Croix River, designated a National Scenic Riverway, and the Kettle River, a State Wild and Scenic River. Each campsite includes a picnic table, tent or RV pad, and fire ring with grill for cooking. The campground has a restroom and shower building with both electric and non-electric sites available. Electric hookups add $10 per night, while water and sewer hookups add $8 per night. The nearby camp store stocks essentials like firewood and ice. The St. Croix Lodge, built in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, houses a picnic shelter, year-round restrooms, and an Interpretive Center. Campers have access to 127 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails throughout the park.
