Paint Rock Springs Campground is one of three family-friendly drive-in campgrounds at Saint Croix State Park, Minnesota's largest state park spanning over 34,000 acres. The campground offers 66 sites, with 9 sites equipped with 30-amp electric hookups. Modern restroom and shower facilities are conveniently located throughout the campground. The sites are relatively close together and provide a comfortable base for exploring the park. Located a short walk from the Saint Croix River, a National Scenic Riverway, the campground is bordered by hiking trails and a paved bike trail. Campers have easy access to the camp store and ranger station. The campground serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the park's two great rivers, the Saint Croix and the Kettle River, both offering canoeing, fishing, and scenic beauty. Reservations are accepted and recommended during peak seasons when the campground tends to fill quickly. The campground operates seasonally and is closed during winter months, while the nearby Riverview Campground remains open year-round for those seeking winter camping opportunities.

From Hinckley, Minnesota, take Highway 48 east for approximately 15 miles to the entrance of St. Croix State Park. Follow park signs to the Paint Rock Springs Campground.
