About

Norway Point Group Center is a historic group camping facility at St. Croix State Park, Minnesota's largest state park spanning over 34,000 acres. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1938-1939, the center features 28 rustic cabins arranged across four villages: A, B, C, and D Villages. Most cabins sleep eight people in twin bunks, though three smaller cabins accommodate only two guests. The rustic cabins have no electricity or heat, preserving the historic camp atmosphere. The center includes several electrified support buildings: staff quarters sleeping 13 with a dedicated bathroom/shower, an infirmary for 6, counselor cabin for 5, cook's quarters for 3, and an office for 3. The dining hall seats 100 and features two fireplaces. The commercial kitchen is fully equipped with gas stoves, walk-in cooler, freezer, dual refrigerators, dishwasher, and place settings for 225 people. Recreational amenities include a ball field, sand volleyball court with net and balls provided, craft building with electricity and workbenches, two fire rings, a large grill with cooking grate, and a private swimming beach on Lake Clayton featuring a historic CCC-built spillway. Wi-Fi is available at the mess hall.
