About
River Bridge Campground is a small, peaceful campground nestled along the Rogue River in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The facility features 11 campsites (9 standard sites and 2 OHV sites) spread out with generous spacing beneath towering Douglas-firs that provide ample shade during summer months. Privacy between sites is enhanced by vegetation, creating a secluded atmosphere despite the modest size of the campground. The campground offers easy walking access to the wide Rogue River, where visitors will find several sandy areas perfect for relaxing, fishing, or swimming. The Upper Rogue Trail is easily accessible from the parking area, providing excellent hiking opportunities. The location serves as an ideal base camp for exploring the region, with the entrance to Crater Lake National Park just 6 miles away. Other nearby attractions include the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway with its waterfalls and the dramatic Rogue Gorge. This is a first-come, first-served campground with limited facilities, so campers should come prepared with their own water and plan to pack out all trash. The Prospect OHV trail system is easily accessed from the campground, making it popular with off-highway vehicle enthusiasts. With its riverside setting, proximity to major attractions, and relatively uncrowded atmosphere, River Bridge offers a classic National Forest camping experience.
