About

Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area sits on the forested shores of Lost Creek Lake, a 3,430-acre reservoir created by the Army Corps of Engineers. The campground offers 201 sites spread across four loops: 151 sites feature water and electric hookups while 50 tent sites have water only. Two group camping areas accommodate up to 25 people each. Every site includes a picnic table and fire ring on paved pads. The park provides excellent recreation access with a full-service marina offering boat rentals, moorage, and a boat ramp. Anglers can pursue bass, crappie, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon. An 11-mile network of hiking and biking trails winds through the property, and the park makes an ideal base camp for exploring Crater Lake National Park, located about 40 miles northeast. Now managed by Jackson County, the campground features modern amenities including flush restrooms, hot showers, an RV dump station, camp store, small cafe, playground, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and a fenced off-leash dog area.
