About

Mill Creek Campground is a small, forested retreat in the High Cascades Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The campground's 10 sites are nestled among Douglas-firs, cedars, and maples along Mill Creek, where the sound of flowing water provides a peaceful backdrop. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. Two vault toilets serve the campground, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. The location makes Mill Creek an excellent staging point for exploring Crater Lake National Park, roughly 20 miles northeast via Highway 62. The Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway and Rogue Gorge are also within easy reach. Mill Creek itself supports rainbow trout, making the campground popular with anglers. The creek also offers swimming opportunities during warmer months. This is a primitive, pack-it-out campground. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., dogs must remain leashed, and OHV/ATV use is prohibited within the campground. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights.

Directions

From Prospect, OR, travel north about 2 miles on Highway 62. Turn right onto Forest Road 030 and continue about 1 mile to the campground.
