About

Abbott Creek Campground is a secluded retreat nestled in old-growth forest along Abbott Creek in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The campground offers 25 graveled campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring, spread through a quiet forest setting. Sites 1-5 allow OHV staging for easy access to the nearby Prospect OHV Trail System. The campground provides basic amenities including seven vault toilets, trash disposal, and gray water sumps. No potable water is available on-site; the nearest water source is at Union Creek Campground. A campground host is present during the season and firewood is available for purchase. The location provides excellent access to recreation along the Upper Rogue River corridor. Fishing and swimming opportunities abound in Abbott Creek, Woodruff Creek, and the Rogue River. The Upper Rogue River Trail is accessible from the nearby Woodruff Bridge Trailhead. Don't miss the dramatic Rogue Gorge and the unique lava tube formation at Natural Bridge, both short drives away.
