About

Rice Lake State Park provides a quiet camping experience in southern Minnesota's agricultural landscape. The 40-site campground is divided into two loops: Loop A offers 21 non-electric sites and houses the shower/restroom building, while Loop B features 18 electric sites with 30 and 50-amp hookups. Three ADA-accessible sites are available, two with electric in Loop B and one non-electric in Loop A. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The park centers on Rice Lake, a major wetland that draws significant waterfowl populations during spring and fall migrations. Nearly five miles of trails wind through oak forests, restored prairies, and along the lakeshore. Canoe rentals are available for exploring the lake, and paddlers can access a remote canoe campsite on the opposite shore. Winter visitors can use the cross-country ski trails and connect to the regional snowmobile trail system. The campground restrooms provide hot water showers from May through mid-October. Centrally located water spigots serve campers throughout both loops.
