About

Sakatah Lake State Park Campground sits on the boundary between Minnesota's prairie and Big Woods, offering 62 semi-modern campsites spread across four loops in a wooded setting. The campground overlooks Upper and Lower Sakatah lakes, natural widenings of the Cannon River. Fourteen sites feature electric hookups, while the remaining sites are non-electric. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring or grill. Campers have access to modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, and a sanitary dump station. The campground operates seasonally from early May through mid-October. Sites are available by reservation or first-come, first-served. The campground serves as a hub for outdoor recreation. The paved Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail runs directly through the park, providing 39 miles of paved trail stretching from Mankato to Faribault for biking, hiking, and inline skating. The park offers fishing access, a public boat ramp, canoe rentals, and multiple hiking trails through diverse habitats ranging from prairie to hardwood forests. Pets are welcome throughout the campground.

Directions
