Sakatah Lake Campground

Sakatah Lake State Park Campground sits in a wooded setting between Upper and Lower Sakatah Lakes, located between Faribault and Mankato in Le Sueur County. The park offers 62 drive-in campsites, including 14 with electric hookups, plus a camper cabin for those wanting a roof overhead. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The modern restroom building provides flush toilets, hot showers, sinks, mirrors, and electrical outlets. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail, a 39-mile paved route that runs directly through the park alongside Upper Sakatah Lake. The trail connects Mankato to Faribault and is popular with cyclists. The park also features a bicycle touring camp with five sites reserved exclusively for trail users. Fishing and boating are primary draws, with boat ramps providing access to the lakes. The park offers additional camping options including two group camps: an upper group camp on the shore of Upper Sakatah Lake near the boat landing with running water and electricity, and a lower group camp on Lower Sakatah Lake with its own fishing dock.

Directions

From the intersection of State Highways 13 and 60 in Waterville, head east on Highway 60 for approximately 1 mile. The park entrance will be on your left.
