About

Sakatah Lake State Park's group campgrounds provide excellent gathering spaces in southern Minnesota's lake country. The park features two distinct group camping areas, each accommodating up to 50 people. The Upper Group Camp is positioned along Upper Sakatah Lake near the boat landing and adjacent to the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail. This site offers running water, vault toilets, and electricity available for an additional fee. It can accommodate both tents and a limited number of trailers, making it suitable for groups with mixed camping equipment. The Lower Group Camp offers a more secluded experience on the shores of Lower Sakatah Lake. This tent-only site features a hand pump for water and a vault toilet. Its standout feature is a private dock perfect for fishing, boating, watching sunsets, or stargazing away from the main park activity areas.

Directions

From the intersection of State Highways 13 and 60 in Waterville, head east on Highway 60 for approximately 1 mile. The park entrance will be on your left, clearly marked with signage.
