White Fox Campground is one of two campgrounds at Myre-Big Island State Park, situated on the mainland in a scenic open grassland setting that contrasts with the wooded Big Island campground. The campground features 59 drive-in sites with plenty of space between them, offering campers a sense of openness and room to spread out. Fifteen sites provide electrical hookups for RVs, while the remaining sites accommodate tent camping and RVs without hookups. A state-of-the-art accessible facility built in 2005 provides modern amenities including flush toilets, running water, and showers for camper comfort. Myre-Big Island State Park showcases the natural diversity of southern Minnesota with oak savanna, native prairie, wetlands, and Albert Lea Lake. The park is a premier birdwatching destination, attracting hundreds of waterfowl during migration. Campers can explore 16 miles of trails for hiking and biking, including the paved Blazing Star State Trail that winds through prairie landscapes. The park offers fishing, paddling, and swimming opportunities on Albert Lea Lake, with canoe and kayak rentals available through the park office. Four backpack campsites along the lakeshore provide more remote camping options accessible by water or trail.

From Interstate 35, take exit 11, turn east on Freeborn County Road 46. Follow County Road 46 for 0.5 miles, then turn south on Freeborn County Road 38 and continue for 1.5 miles to the park entrance.
