About
Reynolds Creek Group Campground is a primitive and secluded group camping area located on the Pleasant Valley Ranger District in Tonto National Forest. Nestled among towering ponderosa pines at an elevation of 5,250 feet, the campground sits alongside Reynolds Creek, which flows year-round. The site provides a shaded retreat with a large meadow perfect for group activities and games. The campground sits between the Salome and Sierra Ancha Wilderness Areas and adjacent to the From the Desert to the Tall Pines National Scenic Byway. Two trailheads are located within a quarter mile, providing access to both wilderness areas and a lookout tower. Workman Creek, two miles to the south, features cascading waterfalls and berry picking opportunities in fall. Facilities include two large ramadas, eight picnic tables, a group grill, four steel fire rings, and one vault toilet. This is a primitive site with no potable water or trash services. The campground is very remote and accessible only by dirt roads. Bears are present in the area, and food must be stored appropriately.
