About

Reservoir Lake Campground occupies the south shores of an 11-acre alpine lake at 7,000 feet in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. The campground offers 16 designated sites with dirt parking aprons averaging 15 by 61 feet, suitable for small to mid-sized RVs and trailers though the narrow interior road with trees close to the roadway limits accessibility for larger rigs. Facilities include accessible vault toilets, picnic tables, and bear-resistant food storage boxes available upon request. There are no garbage services so campers must pack out all trash. A primitive boat ramp provides access to the lake, which is restricted to non-motorized or electric motors only. Recreation options include fishing, swimming, non-motorized boating, and hiking on scenic trails. The campground operates on a pack-it-in, pack-it-out basis with a 16-day stay limit. Pets are welcome when kept on a leash.

Directions

From Dillon, go south on Interstate 15 for 19 miles. Take Highway 324 west 17 miles. Turn onto Forest Road 181 and continue for 18 miles following signs to the lake.
