About

Redwood Lodge is a historic guesthouse at Camden State Park, originally built in 1935 as the park custodian's cabin during the CCC and WPA era. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the lodge offers a unique opportunity to stay in a piece of Minnesota's conservation history while enjoying the natural beauty of the Redwood River valley. The spacious lodge accommodates up to eight guests across three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Amenities include a fully-equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and utensils. The lodge features a screened front porch, air conditioning, heat, and a cozy gas fireplace. Guests must bring their own bedding and linens and are responsible for cleaning the lodge at checkout, with equipment provided by the park. Camden State Park offers hiking trails through the wooded river valley, fishing for brown trout in the Redwood River, bass and bluegill in Brawner Lake, swimming, and cross-country skiing in winter. The park also has separate drive-in campgrounds for those seeking a more traditional camping experience.
