Redwood Lodge at Camden State Park offers a unique blend of history and comfort for visitors seeking a memorable stay in southwestern Minnesota. Built in 1935 and recently renovated, this spacious guesthouse was originally the park custodian's cabin and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the park's CCC and WPA-era structures. Located along the scenic Redwood River, the lodge provides convenient access to the park's diverse recreational opportunities including trout fishing, hiking trails, and the spring-fed swimming pool. The lodge features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to eight guests. Amenities include a fully-equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and utensils, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. Additional comforts include a screened front porch, air conditioning, heat, and a gas fireplace. The exterior offers a patio with a campfire ring and barbecue pit for outdoor enjoyment. Guests must bring their own bedding and linens, and are responsible for cleaning the lodge at the end of their stay using equipment provided by the park. The lodge is ADA accessible and available for reservation year-round, offering a distinctive alternative to traditional camping.
