About

The Day Use Facilities at Camden State Park provide access to the park's scenic amenities along the Redwood River in southwestern Minnesota. Visitors can enjoy picnicking at designated areas with tables and fire rings, including two rental picnic shelters available year-round. The park features a unique spring-fed swimming pond with a historic stone bathhouse, as well as a beach at Brawner Lake for summer recreation. The day use area serves as a gateway to the park's natural attractions, including hiking trails like the Dakota Valley Trail that offers overlook views of the wooded river valley. Fishing opportunities are available for brown trout in the Redwood River and bass and bluegill in Brawner Lake. The park also features a fishing pier and boat access on Brawner Lake. With 13 buildings and structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Camden State Park combines recreational opportunities with historical significance. The day use facilities are open year-round, offering activities for all seasons including hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing in winter, and wildflower viewing in spring.
