About
Redfish Inlet Campground offers a true backcountry experience at the southern end of Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The campground's 4 first-come, first-served sites are accessible only by shuttle boat, personal watercraft, or hiking trail, providing exceptional solitude for those willing to make the journey. The campground sits at the Redfish Inlet Trailhead, serving as a launch point for exploring the Sawtooth Wilderness. Trails lead along Mt. Heyburn, Braxon Peak, Grand Mogul, and Decker Peak toward the Bench Lakes and Saddleback Lakes. The location also offers excellent fishing, swimming, and kayaking opportunities on Redfish Lake. The remote setting means limited amenities: vault toilets and trash removal are provided, but no potable water is available. Campers must bring all water or be prepared to treat lake water. Pack animals are permitted. Occupancy is limited to 10 days within any 30-day period across the entire SNRA within a 30-mile radius.
Directions
Located at the southern end of Redfish Lake. Accessible only by water (shuttle boat, kayak, canoe) or by hiking the Redfish Lake trail. Not vehicle accessible.
