About
Chinook Bay Campground sits along Little Redfish Creek on the north shore of Little Redfish Lake within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The 13 campsites are nestled under a lodgepole pine canopy and operate exclusively on a first-come, first-served basis with on-site payment via Recreation.gov's Scan and Pay feature or cash/check. The campground provides flush toilets and potable water from faucets. Kayaking, canoeing, wading, swimming, and non-motorized boating are popular on Little Redfish Lake, while nearby trails provide access to the Sawtooth and White Clouds Wilderness areas. The Alpine Way and Redfish trails lead into the Sawtooth Wilderness, and the Boundary Creek trail accesses the White Clouds Wilderness. The nearby Redfish Lake complex offers additional amenities including a visitor center, commercially operated showers, a dump station, gas station with propane, boat rentals, and equestrian stables. Horse and pack animal accommodations are permitted at the campground. Occupancy is limited to 10 days in a 30-day period within a 30-mile radius of the SNRA.

From Stanley, go 1.5 miles south on ID-75, then less than a mile south on Forest Road 214 to the campground.
