About
North Shore Picnic Area is a day-use facility located on the north shore of Redfish Lake at the foot of the Sawtooth Mountain Range, approximately 4 miles from Stanley, Idaho. The site features two reservable waterfront picnic areas: Site A accommodates up to 100 people and Site B accommodates up to 50 people. This is strictly a day-use location with no overnight camping permitted. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, and a designated swim beach. The Sandy Beach Boat Ramp is located less than a quarter mile away. Redfish Lake Lodge nearby offers a restaurant, general store, boat rentals, and lake shuttle service. The area provides access to excellent recreation including hiking, swimming, boating, waterskiing, fishing for rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon, and wildlife viewing. Nearby trailheads include Alpine Way, Fishhook Creek, Redfish Lake Creek, and Bench Lakes Trails.
Directions
From Stanley, Idaho, take State Highway 75 south for 4 miles. Turn west onto Forest Road 214 at the Redfish Lake sign and travel approximately 2 miles. Turn right at the North Shore Picnic Area entrance sign.
