About

Redd Hollow Campground is one of eleven self-service campgrounds in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, offering a quieter, more primitive camping alternative to the developed campgrounds. Located along Kentucky Lake with convenient access via the Woodlands Scenic Trace (Forest Service Road 100), this campground provides a peaceful lakeside setting for campers seeking solitude. The campground operates on a self-pay system where campers select their site, complete a fee envelope, and deposit payment in the "Iron Ranger" fee tube at the entrance within 30 minutes of setup. Each campsite includes a designated pad, picnic table, grill, and fire ring. Facilities include vault toilets, regular trash pickup, and a boat ramp for water access. Campers should plan to bring their own drinking water as none is available on-site. With no advance reservations required and year-round access, Redd Hollow offers a first-come, first-served camping experience at an affordable rate. The campground's proximity to Piney Campground provides convenient access to additional amenities like showers and a camp store if needed. Campers are reminded to use only local firewood and not transport firewood from other areas to prevent the spread of invasive pests.
