About

Located on Kentucky Lake in the southern portion of Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, Colson Hollow Group Site offers a spacious camping experience for organized groups. The camping area features 25 acres of maintained open fields that can accommodate groups ranging from 10 to 200 people, making it ideal for large gatherings, youth groups, and special events. The facility provides one accessible vault toilet building and a refuse container, with additional sanitary facilities available upon request for an extra charge. Groups should be aware that in the event of heavy rain, the creek crossing may become impassable, and evacuation may be necessary. Compatible groups may be scheduled for the same dates at this shared-use facility. Access to the site is via Forest Service Road 169 off the Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway. Reservations are required and must be made by calling the Land Between the Lakes office at 270-924-2044. Campers should bring their own water as none is available on-site.
