About

Fenton Campground is a year-round self-service campground situated on the scenic shores of Kentucky Lake within Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in western Kentucky. This campground provides a more primitive camping experience compared to the area's developed campgrounds, offering solitude and direct lake access along Highway 68/80 east of the Eggner's Ferry Bridge. All campsites feature 30 amp electrical hookups, picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. The campground provides vault toilets, trash pickup service, and a boat launching ramp for easy lake access. Campers select their own sites and pay the nightly fee by completing a fee envelope and depositing it in the Iron Ranger fee tube at the entrance within 30 minutes of arrival. Drinking water is available from faucets on-site. Fenton Campground serves as an excellent base for exploring Land Between the Lakes, with access to the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail for hiking and biking, proximity to the Golden Pond Planetarium, and the Elk & Bison Prairie. The campground is known locally as one of the best spots to view LBL's Fourth of July fireworks.
