About

Energy Lake Campground sits next to an inland lake separated from Lake Barkley by an earthen dam, providing a peaceful camping experience in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. The campground offers 13 cabins and 35 well-defined sites in a wooded area, with 33 electrical hookups (30 and 50 AMP available) capable of handling tents to motorhomes. Both lake view and wooded campsites are available. Campers have access to a swimming beach area, playground, activity field, and hiking trails. Canoe and kayak rentals are available mid-May through mid-October ($15 per hour). The campground is a favorite spot for scout troops, school groups, reunions, and team building events, with group reservations available for church and scout groups. Cabins consist of one full-size bed and four bunk beds, table, chairs, and heating and air conditioning. Linens and pillows are not provided. Each cabin has a covered porch with a nearby picnic table and fire ring. While there is no boat ramp within the campground, Energy Dam Day Use Area (less than ¼ mile by paved road) offers access to both Energy Lake and Lake Barkley with a courtesy dock.
