About
Afton Landing is located upstream of Chouteau Lock and Dam 17 on the McClellan-Kerr Navigation System, approximately 6 miles west of Wagoner, Oklahoma. The campground sits on an oxbow off the main river channel, providing excellent access to the backwaters for fishermen, boaters, and kayakers. The sloping high banks offer great water views and access to tie boats at the water's edge. This year-round campground features two loops with 22 campsites total: 19 with electric hookups and 3 non-electric sites, plus a group day-use shelter. The campground is surrounded by mixed hardwood forest and the majority of campsites are shaded. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, a dump station, playground, boat ramp, and courtesy dock. All campsites are reservation-only through Recreation.gov. Located just west of Wagoner, the campground is within driving distance to local dining and shopping facilities and is within a 10-minute drive to Fort Gibson Lake and several other campgrounds and state parks. Day use hours are 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, check-in is 5:00 PM, and check-out is 3:00 PM.
