Raccoon Creek State Park is one of Pennsylvania's largest state parks at 7,572 acres, centered around the scenic 101-acre Raccoon Lake. The modern campground contains 172 sites divided into six loops: E and F loops open in early April through mid-October, while A, B, C, and D loops operate from late May through mid-September. Sites accommodate tents and trailers up to 50 feet, with electric service available at 15, 20, 30, or 50 amp depending on the site. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground features five central washhouses with flush toilets and warm showers, a sanitary dump station, and a playground. Pets are welcome in the C and F loops. ADA-accessible sites are available at B1, B2, B3, C38, E2, E3, F21, and F23. The separate Sioux Rustic Campground remains open year-round with vault toilets and potable water, though access is not guaranteed during severe winter storms. The park offers extensive recreation including swimming, boating, and fishing on the lake, plus over 19 miles of hiking trails. The Wildflower Reserve protects 700+ plant species across 4.5 miles of trails. Backpacking opportunities include Adirondack shelters and primitive tenting sites in the Pioneer and Sioux areas.
