About
Beaver Creek Group Campground is located within Beaver Creek State Park, one of Ohio's most scenic parks in the Appalachian foothills of Columbiana County. The group camping area on Sprucevale Road can accommodate organized groups up to 125 people and offers primitive camping with limited amenities. The campground provides grills and picnic tables but no electric hookups or water filling station at the sites. Campers should plan accordingly and bring adequate water supplies. The group camp entrance is accessed by turning east from OH-7 onto East Liverpool Road, then left onto Cannons Mill Road, followed by a left onto Sprucevale Road, where the entrance is located after crossing the creek. The park features access to Little Beaver Creek, which offers excellent canoeing through swift currents and breathtaking gorge scenery. The area includes 23 miles of bridle trails, various hiking trails including sections of the North Country Trail, and the restored Gaston's Mill and pioneer village. Remnants of the historic Sandy and Beaver Canal with intact stone locks can be explored throughout the park. Wildlife commonly seen includes white-tailed deer, red fox, wild turkey, and increasingly frequent black bear sightings.
