Moraine State Park

Moraine State Park surrounds 3,225-acre Lake Arthur in western Pennsylvania and offers overnight accommodations exclusively through organized group tenting and cabin rentals. Individual tent camping and RV camping are prohibited throughout the park. Two rustic organized group tenting areas serve qualifying groups: Five Points and Muskrat Cove, each accommodating 40-80 campers. To qualify, groups must have formal organization with appointed leadership and periodic meetings. Youth groups (majority under 18) and adult groups (majority 18+) affiliated with established organizations like schools, churches, scout troops, or civic clubs are eligible. These rustic sites include restrooms, picnic tables, cooking grills, and potable water, but no showers. Reservations are required and must be made by calling 888-PA-PARKS. Eleven modern cabins are available year-round for family or small group use, sleeping up to six people. Cabins include two bedrooms, full bathroom with shower, kitchen, dining/living area, and electric heat. Summer cabin guests have dock access. Dogs are permitted only in cabins 7 and 11 with an additional fee. The park features extensive day-use recreation including swimming beaches, boating, fishing, and the North Country National Scenic Trail.
