About

Jordanelle State Park encompasses three distinct recreation areas along the shores of Jordanelle Reservoir in the scenic Heber Valley. The Hailstone Recreation Area serves as the premier development, featuring a large campground designed for active recreation with full 50-amp hookup sites, modern restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and playgrounds. The facility caters to boaters and RV campers with direct reservoir access, marina services, and boat rentals. Rock Cliff Recreation Area offers a contrasting experience with walk-in tent camping nestled in tall cottonwoods along the Upper Provo River. This quieter section features a boardwalk and is restricted to tent camping only with no pets allowed. The Keetley hike-in campground provides additional primitive tent sites. Ross Creek offers non-motorized boat access. The reservoir supports excellent fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout, cutthroat, smallmouth and largemouth bass, perch, and kokanee salmon. Located just minutes from Park City, the park provides convenient access to Sundance Film Festival venues, Olympic sites, and Mirror Lake Highway. The park operates seasonally with reservations required during peak season from May through October.
