Jordanelle State Park

About

Jordanelle State Park encompasses three recreation areas along the Jordanelle Reservoir in Utah's Wasatch County. The primary camping facilities are located at Hailstone, which features 103 RV sites with partial hookups providing 30-amp electrical service and water connections. Each site includes a fire pit with BBQ grill and picnic table. The McHenry campground offers four loops exclusively for tent camping, with water spigots throughout and restroom facilities with showers. For a more remote experience, Phostan Bay provides hike-in backpacking sites accessible via a half-mile to one-mile walk, with a mix of reservable and first-come-first-served options. The Keetley group campsite accommodates up to 75 people with four tent pads, a large pavilion, and four RV hookup sites. Five cabins sleeping 4-8 people and three cottages with full bathrooms and kitchenettes round out the lodging options, with some units being ADA accessible and pet-friendly. The reservoir offers excellent boating, fishing, and swimming. Anglers can pursue trout, bass, yellow perch, and wipers. All campgrounds share check-in at 3 PM and check-out at noon, with quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM.

Directions

From Salt Lake City, take I-80 east to US-40 south toward Heber City. The Hailstone recreation area entrance is located off US-40 approximately 6 miles north of Heber City.
