Shawnee State Park

Closed — Open for camping from mid-April through late December. Saturday reservations during summer require a two-night minimum stay. Shawnee Lodge is available for year-round rental.

Shawnee State Park encompasses 3,983 acres of Pennsylvania's scenic Ridge and Valley Province, centered around the 451-acre Shawnee Lake. Located ten miles west of historic Bedford along US 30, the park blends modern recreational facilities with natural surroundings. The campground features approximately 200 sites that accommodate both tents and trailers, with 94 electric sites, 16 full-hookup sites with sewer/water/electricity, and 86 non-electric sites. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. The park also offers three camping cottages, a historic two-story Shawnee Lodge on an island in the lake, and organized group tenting areas. Centrally located shower houses provide flush toilets, hot showers, and utility sinks. A sanitary dump station serves RV campers. Recreational opportunities include fishing, boating with rentals and launches, swimming at a beach, hiking trails, biking, and disc golf.
