Shawnee State Park campground sits within 3,983 acres of Pennsylvania's scenic Ridge and Valley Province, centered around the 451-acre Shawnee Lake. The campground offers 211 sites accommodating diverse camping styles: 94 modern electric sites with 30-amp service, 86 non-electric sites, and 16 full-hookup sites with water, sewer, and electricity. Two Great Gathering sites accommodate larger groups with dual full-hookup pads for up to 15 people. Centrally located shower houses provide flush toilets, hot showers, and large utility sinks for dishwashing. Every campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. A sanitary dump station serves RV campers, and ADA-accessible sites and restrooms are available throughout. Pull-through driveways exist on select sites, with site lengths ranging from 10 to 40 feet. Beyond camping, the park offers a swimming beach, boat launch, fishing pier, hiking trails, disc golf course, playground, and amphitheater. The historic town of Bedford is a short drive east, and the park's location along US 30 provides convenient access to this southern Pennsylvania destination.
