Rocky Gap State Park Campground, located in Allegany County, Maryland, offers a diverse range of accommodations and amenities for campers. The campground features 278 individual campsites, including 30 equipped with 30-amp electric hookups, as well as mini cabins and a yurt. Additional facilities include a family group site and two youth group camping areas. Each loop is equipped with bathhouses that provide hot water, and a dump station is available for RVs. The campground also boasts a private swimming beach, playground, nature center, and the Scales & Tales Aviary. Canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rentals are available seasonally. A camp store and snack shack are on-site for convenience. Pets are permitted in designated loops, and alcohol consumption is restricted to personal motor homes. Check-in for campsites is at 3 p.m., with check-out at 1 p.m. The park's 243-acre Lake Habeeb offers opportunities for fishing and boating, with electric motors permitted. Hiking enthusiasts can explore trails like the 5.3-mile Lakeside Loop Trail and the challenging 5-mile Evitt's Homesite Trail. The park also features an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 3,000, available for rent. Adjacent to the park is the Rocky Gap Casino Resort, offering additional entertainment and dining options.
