Weaver Falls Shelter is situated at the south end of Raystown Lake along the main lake channel, providing a scenic location for group picnics and gatherings. The fully accessible shelter comfortably accommodates up to 80 people with approximately 10 picnic tables under cover and offers views of the lake. The facility does not have electricity or potable water, though generators may be used with advance permission from park ranger staff. The recreation area features a boat ramp providing direct access to the 8,300-acre Raystown Lake, popular for boating, fishing, and water sports. A playground is located within 50 feet of the shelter, making it ideal for family gatherings. Vault restrooms are available approximately 300 yards from the shelter. Dumpsters are provided in adjacent parking lots, though parking is first-come, first-served and cannot be guaranteed with reservations. When not reserved, the shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The shelter operates during daylight hours from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with all activities concluding by 10:00 p.m. for quiet hours. The area is accessible from PA Route 913 near the town of Saxton and offers proximity to other Raystown Lake recreation areas including Seven Points Recreation Area, Tatman Run, and multiple boat launches.

Directions

From Saxton, follow PA Route 913 east for 1.0 mile, then turn left onto SR31019 (look for signs). Travel 2.0 additional miles crossing Weaver's Bridge. The recreation area will be on the right.
