Weaver Falls Shelter
This is a day-use picnic shelter only; overnight camping is not permitted. Operating hours are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The shelter is reservable through Recreation.gov or available first-come, first-served when not reserved.
About
Weaver Falls Shelter is a reservable group picnic shelter located at the south end of Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. The facility is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and offers a scenic day-use area for gatherings of up to 80 people. The shelter includes approximately 10 picnic tables with views of the lake, though no electricity is available. The recreation area features a boat ramp providing access to the 8,300-acre Raystown Lake, which is popular for boating and fishing. A playground is located adjacent to the shelter for families with children. Vault restrooms are available approximately 300 yards from the shelter, and trash dumpsters are located in the adjacent parking lot. This is a day-use facility only with operating hours from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Overnight camping is not permitted. When not reserved, the shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Directions
From Saxton, PA, follow PA-913 east for 1.0 mile, then turn left onto SR31019 (look for signs). Travel 2.0 miles, crossing Weaver's Bridge. Weaver Falls Recreation Area will be on the right.
