About
Fish Creek Pond Campground is considered by many to be the finest and most attractive of all the Adirondack campgrounds. The campground features 355 sites built around a natural sand shoreline connecting Square Pond and Fish Creek Pond, with water access for most campsites. The facility accommodates all camping equipment from tents to 40-foot RVs. Motorized boating is allowed on Square Pond and Fish Creek Pond, with a trailered boat launch providing access to miles of open water on Upper Saranac Lake. Non-motorized boaters can explore connecting waters to Rollins Pond Campground or the nearby St. Regis Canoe Area. Fishing opportunities include black bass, northern pike, and panfish in the ponds, plus lake trout and landlocked salmon in Upper Saranac Lake. The campground offers hot showers from late May to Columbus Day, flush toilets, a swimming beach, hiking trails including the popular Otter Hollow Loop and Floodwood Loop, and an interpreter activity program from July through Labor Day. Nearby attractions include The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, the Adirondack Park Visitors Interpretive Center at Paul Smiths, and Lake Placid Olympic venues.
