Delta Lake State Park sits on a scenic peninsula extending into Delta Reservoir in Central New York, offering year-round recreation on generally flat, wooded terrain. The campground features 101 tent, trailer, and RV camping sites available from mid-May through Columbus Day. During the camping season, visitors enjoy a sandy swimming beach operating Memorial Day through Labor Day, a boat launch for accessing the reservoir, and excellent shoreline fishing for trout, pike, bass, bullhead, and perch. The park offers multiple hiking and nature trails that wind through the wooded landscape, with trail access enhanced by an available all-terrain wheelchair. Picnic areas and pavilions provide day-use opportunities throughout the warmer months. Standard amenities include showers and a playground for family enjoyment. While the campground operates seasonally, the park remains open year-round for day use, with winter visitors enjoying cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing. The boat launch typically opens from late April through October, weather and lake levels permitting. Delta Lake State Park provides a quiet, nature-focused camping experience with convenient access to water recreation in the heart of Oneida County.
