Empire RV Park is located within the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, home of the nation's first and oldest state fair. This seasonal RV park operates exclusively during the Great New York State Fair, accommodating RVers who want extended access to the fair. The park features 313 sites, all with full hookups including water, electric service (30 amp and 50 amp available), sewer connections, and garbage disposal locations. Bathroom and shower facilities are located at the east and west ends of the park. Reservations are only available as a complete 17-night package that runs from mid-August through early September, covering the four nights before the fair opens and the entire 13-night duration of the fair. Each site reservation includes one RV parking site, one parking permit for the RV, and two fair admission passes. Sites are back-in only and vary in size. Campers must supply their own water hoses, sewer pipes, and electrical cords, with extra length recommended as distances to hookups vary by site. The fairgrounds location provides immediate access to the fair's food, music, rides, and entertainment. Beyond the fair, the area offers a scenic walking and biking trail along Onondaga Lake across the street, Destiny USA shopping center four miles away, downtown Syracuse's Armory Square district, and numerous state and county parks within a short drive.

Located at 581 State Fair Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13209. All vehicles for the Empire RV Park enter at Gate 7 off I-690 Exit 7. From west via I-90 East: take Exit 39 to I-690 East. From east via I-90 West: take Exit 34A to Route 481 South, then I-690 West. From north via I-81 South: take Exit 22 to Bear Street (Route 298) to I-690 West. From south via I-81 North: follow to I-690 West.
