About

Fair Haven Beach State Park is situated on the eastern portion of Lake Ontario's shoreline in upstate New York, offering one of the finest public lakefronts in the region. The park features high bluffs above sandy beaches and hilly woodlands that create a scenic camping destination. With 184 total campsites divided among several camping areas, including 46 electric sites in the Bluff Electric Camping Area and 138 non-electric sites, the campground accommodates both tent and RV campers. The park's standout feature is its 1,500 feet of sand beach, including 600 feet of guarded swimming area complete with diving boards. Beyond the beach, visitors can enjoy a full-service marina with boat launch, boat rentals including paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks for use on Sterling Pond waterway, and excellent fishing opportunities. The park also features five picnic areas with pavilions, a playground, ball field, hiking trails, and an 18-hole golf course with scenic views. Campground amenities include a camp store, dump station located in the Drumlin Camping Area, water spigots, picnic tables at each site, dumpsters, and recycling bins. The park offers recreation programs during the camping season. Winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and sledding. Located in the heart of Finger Lakes wine country, the park provides convenient access to regional attractions while maintaining its natural charm along the Lake Ontario shoreline.

The park is located on Lake Ontario, southwest of Oswego on Route 104A, 2 miles north of Fair Haven.
