Fair Haven Beach State Park sits on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario, distinguished by dramatic bluffs rising above sandy beaches and Sterling Pond. The park's three campgrounds offer diverse settings: Bluff Campground provides 44 electric sites with 30-amp hookups near the lake, Drumlin Campground contains 125 non-electric sites in a wooded setting, and Lakeview offers 14 sites with scenic perspectives. Each campground has centralized restrooms with hot showers. Beyond camping, the park features a 30-unit cabin colony, additional cabins, and four self-contained cottages with extended seasonal availability. Two sandy beaches with lifeguards provide swimming access, while Sterling Pond accommodates kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards available for rental. A camp store stocks supplies, firewood, and beach items. Winter visitors enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing. The surrounding area includes five picnic areas, three pavilions (one heated), playgrounds, and hiking trails through the hilly woodlands. Waterfowl and deer hunting are permitted in designated areas during appropriate seasons.
