About

Golden Hill State Park sits on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in Niagara County, offering 55 campsites across multiple loops. Loop C features lakefront sites with water and electric hookups, while other areas provide more primitive camping experiences. Sites accommodate equipment lengths from 25 to 40 feet depending on location. The park also offers six yurts that sleep six people each, equipped with bunk beds, a futon, refrigerator, and microwave. The park's centerpiece is the historic Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse, built in 1875 and named for its distance from the mouth of the Niagara River. The lighthouse keeper's cottage is available as a full-service vacation rental with stunning Lake Ontario views. Lighthouse tours run from mid-May through mid-October. Recreational opportunities include fishing and boating from the boat launch, hiking nature trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, playground, and playing fields. Winter activities include snowmobiling on 5 miles of trails, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
