About

Beaver Island State Park encompasses 950 acres at the south end of Grand Island in the upper Niagara River, just minutes from Buffalo and Niagara Falls. The park centers on its half-mile sandy swimming beach along the Niagara River, providing a popular summer destination for families. An 80-slip marina offers both seasonal and transient boat slips, and multiple boat launches accommodate canoes, kayaks, and car-top vessels. The park features an 18-hole championship golf course and an 18-hole disc golf course, a nature center with seasonal programming, playgrounds, athletic fields, and miles of bike and nature trails. Nine picnic pavilions with capacities ranging from 50 to 120 people can be reserved for group events, many with electric service. BeaverIsland is strictly a day-use park open from dawn to dusk year-round. There is no overnight camping available. Winter visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, ice fishing, and snowmobiling by permit.
