Reed Bingham State Park sits on a 375-acre lake in Colquitt County, Georgia, offering excellent bass, crappie, catfish, and bream fishing alongside water skiing and boating. The campground features 46 tent, trailer, and RV sites across two loops, with Loop 1 (sites 1-22) receiving significant upgrades in 2023 including sewer hookups, enhanced 100-amp electrical service with 50/30/20-amp options, new water connections, fire rings, picnic tables, and fresh gravel pad surfaces. Beyond standard camping, the park offers a unique paddle-in island campsite accessible by canoe or kayak (rentals available), sleeping up to 30 people on a primitive site surrounded by fragrant water lilies and tupelo trees. A pioneer campground is also available for group camping. Modern comfort stations with hot showers, flush toilets, and electrical outlets serve the developed camping areas, with laundry facilities available in Loop 2. Park amenities include seven picnic shelters, four group shelters, three boat ramps, two docks, two playgrounds, a sand beach, and outdoor exercise equipment. The park is recovering from Hurricane Helene damage, with most trails reopened though some boardwalk sections remain closed for repairs.
