About

Elijah Clark State Park is located on the western shore of Clarks Hill Lake, a 71,100-acre reservoir straddling the Georgia-South Carolina border that ranks among the largest lakes in the Southeast. Named for Revolutionary War hero Elijah Clarke, the park combines excellent water recreation with comfortable camping facilities in Lincoln County. The campground offers 172 tent, trailer, and RV sites with electric and water hookups, each equipped with a parking spur, picnic table, fire ring, and grill grate. Both back-in and pull-through sites are available. For tent campers seeking more solitude, 10 walk-in tent-only sites provide extra privacy while remaining close to comfort stations. A pioneer campground is also available for groups. Modern comfort stations feature climate-controlled bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, and a dump station serves RV campers. Beyond camping, the park draws anglers and boaters with four boat ramps and an accessible fishing pier. A sandy beach offers swimming when water levels permit, and other amenities include a playground, miniature golf, archery range, picnic shelters, and canoe/kayak rentals. Twenty lakeside rental cottages provide an alternative to camping. A log cabin museum interprets the life of Elijah Clarke and frontier Georgia.
