About

Gill Point Recreation Area is a rural day-use park located on the northern end of J. Strom Thurmond Lake off Georgia State Highway 79. This Corps of Engineers facility is situated in a heavily wooded area with mixed pine and hardwood forest providing summer shade and fall color at 335 feet elevation.
