About
Preston Bend Campground sits on the Texas shore of Lake Texoma, a 89,000-acre reservoir straddling the Texas-Oklahoma border known as the "Striper Capital of the World." The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and offers 34 campsites: 22 standard electric sites with 50-amp electric and water hookups, and 12 tent-only sites with water hookups only. All sites feature picnic tables and fire pits on gravel pads. The campground provides full facilities including flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, and a dump station. A boat ramp and dock on-site offer direct lake access for anglers pursuing striped bass, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, crappie, and catfish. The surrounding Cross Timbers landscape features rolling hills forested with post and blackjack oaks, with abundant wildlife including deer, wild turkey, and waterfowl. Nearby recreation includes the scenic 14-mile Cross Timbers hiking trail along rocky ledges above the lake, and 40 miles of equestrian trails. The lake also features two wildlife refuges and two state parks.
