Open — Open for reservations year-round. During winter months, individual water hookups are shut off after November; one frost-free hydrant is available for filling water tanks. Some sites close during the off-season. Park fully reopens April 1st. Entrance gates open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.

Caney Creek Campground is located on Lake Texoma in Oklahoma's Cross Timbers Region, offering access to one of the Southwest's premier recreation lakes. The campground provides 41 campsites with electrical and water hookups, and 10 basic tent sites without hookups, all operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A day-use group picnic shelter with electricity is available for gatherings. Lake Texoma is renowned as the 'Striper Capital of the World,' one of the few reservoirs where striped bass reproduce naturally. Anglers also pursue largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, white and black crappie, channel catfish, and blue catfish. The on-site boat ramp and courtesy dock provide easy lake access for boating, swimming, and water skiing. The scenic Cross Timbers hiking trail winds 14 miles above the lake on rocky ledges through blackjack woodland, while 40 miles of equestrian trails surround the lake. The campground is set among post and blackjack oaks in the rolling hills characteristic of the region. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with deer, turkeys, bobcats, hawks, waterfowl, and songbirds commonly seen. The park entrance gates operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. From Highway 32 in Kingston, OK, take Donahoo Road south. Follow signs 6 miles on paved access road to the campground.
