Lakeside Campground is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility located on Lake Texoma in Oklahoma's Cross Timbers Region. The campground offers 137 sites arranged in a circular loop, with the majority positioned within 150 feet of the shoreline. Most sites feature electrical and water hookups, and the heavily treed setting provides generous shade throughout. Two boat ramps with courtesy docks provide direct lake access. Lake Texoma is renowned as the "Striper Capital of the World," one of the few reservoirs where striped bass reproduce naturally. Other popular species include largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, crappie, and channel and blue catfish. Beyond fishing, visitors enjoy boating, swimming, water skiing, hunting, and birding. The 14-mile Cross Timbers hiking trail winds above the lake on rocky ledges through blackjack woodland, and 40 miles of equestrian trails surround the lake. The campground operates year-round with reduced services from October through March. During winter months, individual water hookups are shut off after November, though a frost-free hydrant remains available within the campground for filling water tanks. Two dump stations, flush toilets, vault toilets, showers, and fish cleaning stations round out the amenities.
