In northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga, Holmes, Medina, Stark, Summit and Wayne. In northwest Ohio, Hancock, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot. * WHEN...From 11 AM EDT this morning through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Since Sunday afternoon, three rounds of showers and storms have moved through the region and a large portion of northern Ohio has received 1 to 2 inches of rain with some locally higher amounts. Another round or two of storms is expected on Tuesday into Tuesday night that could bring another 1 to 2 inches of rain with locally higher amounts where repeated storms occur. Portage Lakes State Park Campground sits within a 411-acre state park centered around eight interconnected lakes totaling over 2,000 acres in Summit County, Ohio. The campground features 74 sites offering a mix of sunny and shaded locations, with 68 non-electric sites and 6 electric sites available. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Basic facilities include pit latrines throughout the campground and a dump station for RV campers. The park is a haven for water recreation enthusiasts. Boats with motors up to 400 horsepower are permitted on the Portage Lakes, with eight launch ramps providing easy water access. Private marinas in the area offer boat rentals and fuel. Turkeyfoot Lake features an excellent swimming beach with parking, drinking water, change booths, and restroom facilities. Fishing is popular year-round in the lakes. A tepee rental is available from May 1 through October 31, set on a wooden platform with amenities including a fire ring, cooking grill, picnic table, patio furniture, and use of a canoe. The Portage Lakes Visitor Center welcomes guests with an interactive map and modern facilities.

From I-77, take Exit 118 for Portage Lakes Drive. Head east on Portage Lakes Drive, then turn south onto Manchester Road. The park entrance and campground are located at 5031 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319.
