About

Poole Creek Campground occupies a forested setting just south of the mouth of Poole Creek on Lemolo Lake's west shore. The campground sits at 4,150 feet in a mixed stand of lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock, and Shasta red fir. Lemolo Lake is the highest reservoir on the North Umpqua River, offering cold, clear waters that support populations of German brown trout, Eastern brook trout, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon. The campground serves as a base for water-based recreation including boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and water skiing. A boat ramp is located nearby. For those seeking land-based adventures, the Lemolo Falls Trail provides a steep traverse dropping into North Umpqua Canyon for views of the 150-foot Lemolo Falls. All 60 standard sites require reservations made at least two days in advance through Recreation.gov. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Vault toilets and potable drinking water are provided. The campground also has one reservable group site. Maximum vehicle length is 35 feet.
