About

Surrounded by picturesque, moist, green foliage along the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway, Clearwater Falls Campground sits beneath a sheltering canopy of old growth Douglas fir. With nine campsites available, campers enjoy the sounds of the Clearwater River as it meanders through the ancient forest. The campground's main attraction is Clearwater Falls, accessible via a short, easy trail from the camping area. The campground is divided into two sections. Five sites are accessed from the main entrance off Highway 138, while four upper sites can be reached via Forest Road 4785. Maximum vehicle length is 25 feet. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with single sites at $10 per night and an additional vehicle fee of $5. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water or garbage service, so visitors must bring their own water and pack out all trash. Pets are allowed on leash, and campfires are permitted in developed fire pits only when conditions allow.

Directions

From Roseburg, travel east on OR-138 / Diamond Lake Boulevard for approximately 70 miles, turn right at the sign for Clearwater Falls Campground. Follow the short entry road and bear left for the main campground. For the four upper sites, continue east on OR-138 to Forest Road 4785, turn right, then make an immediate right and drive approximately 1.5 miles to the campground on the right.
