The campground opens for the 2026 season on May 23. All 15 sites are reservation-only through Recreation.gov. No potable water available; campers must bring their own. Limited garbage services; be prepared to pack out trash.

About
East Lemolo Campground occupies a cluster of clearings in lodgepole pine forest along the southeast shore of Lemolo Lake at 4,150 feet elevation. The 15 standard nonelectric sites offer an informal camping experience with several sites positioned only feet from the shoreline, providing direct and unobstructed lake access. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Lemolo Lake serves as the highest reservoir on the North Umpqua River, reaching depths of up to 100 feet in places. The lake supports populations of German brown trout, Eastern brook trout, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon, making it a prime fishing destination. Boating, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and water skiing are all popular activities. The adjacent East Lemolo Boat Launch provides additional lake access. Nearby attractions include Lemolo Falls Trail, a steep traverse dropping into North Umpqua Canyon for views of the 150-foot cascade. Access to hiking, mountain biking, and OHV trails is within ten miles. The Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway offers 172 miles of diverse river and mountain landscapes.
Directions
From Roseburg, OR, travel east on OR-138 / Diamond Lake Boulevard for approximately 72 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 2610 (Bird's Point Road). Continue for 3 miles and turn right onto Forest Road 2614. Proceed 2 miles and turn left onto Forest Road 2610-430. The campground is at the end of the road.
